Underfloor Heating Set-Up in West London

The Brief

A West London property undergoing renovation needed its underfloor heating setting up properly so every room would heat evenly and comfortably. The homeowners wanted a neat, well-labelled manifold that would be easy to understand and maintain in future, with each zone controlled independently. We planned the layout around the room-by-room heating needs and got to work.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Installed the manifold: Mounted and connected the underfloor heating manifold in a tidy, accessible position ready for the loops.
• Connected and labelled the loops: Ran each heating loop into the manifold, connected them securely, and labelled every one so the layout is clear at a glance.
• Fitted flow meters and actuators: Added flow meters to each loop and fitted actuators so each zone can be controlled independently by the room thermostats.
• Filled and pressure tested: Filled the system, bled the air out, and pressure tested each loop to confirm there were no leaks before final setup.
• Balanced the zones: Set the flow rates loop by loop so every room reaches temperature evenly, avoiding hot and cold spots across the floor.
• Checked and handed over: Ran the system through, confirmed each zone responded correctly, and talked the homeowners through how the controls work.

The Result

A tidy, clearly labelled underfloor heating manifold with every loop connected, metered and balanced. Each zone now heats evenly and can be controlled room by room for comfort and efficiency. The setup is easy to read and maintain, and the work was carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer to a high standard.

Job Duration: Approximately one to two days from setup to final balancing and handover.
